Purpose of the DBP Mobile Companion

This App has been created to assist professional drivers to conduct collections and deliveries in a fully auditable and secure manner. It is intended for all kinds of drivers form Courier parcel services to large artic lorries carrying many tons of freight.

As a Scheduling Application it provides drivers with their route Manifest of what to Collect and what to Deliver. It allows drivers to acknowledge receipt of an order and to mark collection and delivery information at real time. It also provides for alerting headquarters for damaged freight sending appropriate pictures and comments.

As a Track and Trace Application it continuously records the location using the device GPS and it takes photographs of signed documents or scribbles of signatures which are geocoded and sent to the central management system. Headquarters by knowing the exact location of each driver and vehicle can assign new Collections on the fly. They can also pass accurate ETA information to Shippers and Cargo Airline sheds.

As an SOS Device it can message headquarters in two touches for the type of emergency sent along with the exact position of the device at the time.

As a Clock In and Clock Out device it assists drivers to send these events geocoded.

As a Message Receiver it conveys individual or group messages from the Transport Manager to each driver who are expected to acknowledge receipt.

Personal Information

This App does not store or transfer any personal data, not even your name or email. It only sends the device unique identifier, which, when you are a professional driver working for a transportation company such as a Courier or a Freight Forwarder is linked to the driver id allocated to you on the company’s TMS (Transport Management System). Along with the device unique identifier it sends location data and uploads photos taken in the course of business.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of UK without regard to its conflict of laws provision. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in connection with any action or dispute arising between the parties under or in connection with this Privacy Policy except for those individuals who may have rights to make claims under Privacy Shield, or the Swiss-US framework.

The laws of UK, excluding its conflicts of law rules, shall govern this Agreement and your use of the app. Your use of the app may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.

By using DayBookPro Mobile Companion or contacting us directly, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you should not engage with our website, or use our services. Continued use of the website, direct engagement with us, or following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy that do not significantly affect the use or disclosure of your personal information will mean that you accept those changes.
